Preacher's kid who grew up in the church. Folding programs on Saturday night and setting up chairs Sunday morning. Youth leader, worship leader, volunteer, tech guru, shepherd leader, ordained pastor (even the occasional sermon).
So you wanna know a little bit about me...
Well, in typical guy fashion, I'll respond first by what I do. I am currently on retainer with Vera Bradley, assisting with their media and communications department. That includes video production, live streaming, webx, and production for national and regional sales meetings.
Until recently I was serving as Pastor of the Weekend Experience at The River Christian Church. A nebulous title? Well that was true of my job description as well. Basically I was responsible for the vibe and flow of the weekend worship experiences. Working with guest services to create a great first impression. With hospitality to make sure the coffee is brewing. And with the lead pastor and band to create an engaging time of worship. That includes music, set design, graphics packages and whatever else it takes so that when people attended services at The River, they left with a smile on their face and the love of God in their heart.
As far as who I am? Child of God. Husband. Father... My wife, Jolene, and I have been married for over a quarter century now. (And still very passionately in love!) All three of our sons are now serving active duty in the United States Air Force, and we'd be empty-nesters if it wasn't for our beautiful daughter! I consider it my greatest joy to be able to do life with such an amazing family!
I'm a preacher's kid, ordained pastor, video editor, jack of all trades. Short-term goals, whatever God wants. Long-term goals, wherever God leads me.
