Maybe it’s growing up in the church and being conditioned to 3-point sermons. Maybe it’s having most of my kiddos serving in the military. But acronyms have become a staple in my life.
Imagine nothing but open road ahead of you… expecting the next highway sign to indicate full speed ahead. 70mph and no traffic in site. Then you see the cones and blinking lights. Construction ahead. Merging traffic ahead. Detour ahead.
It's a new year. A new president sworn in soon - and the world hasn't blown up yet! 2016 brought a lot of changes, and 2017 looks to be another year of transitions. But I embrace change. And I'm excited about the future!
My wife and I were strongly convinced we needed to move from the midwest to Texas so we could be closer to our grandchildren. But it never seemed to work out. Now we know why. Don't tell me God doesn't have a sense of humor!
